Months 1–3: 100% of ordinary wages (cap ₩2,500,000); months 4–6: 100% (cap ₩2,000,000); month 7 onward: 80% (cap ₩1,600,000). Since 2025 the full benefit is paid during leave (no deferred portion). Special caps apply to the 6+6 scheme and single parents.
Who can apply
Employees with at least 30 days of parental leave and 180+ days of employment-insurance coverage (child aged 8 or younger, or in grade 2 or below)
Application period
From one month after leave starts until 12 months after it ends (monthly or in one claim)
